Dr. Andrew Kirsch obtained his medical degree from SUNY Health Science Center in New York, where he earned two NIH Research Fellowship Awards and induction into Sigma Xi Research Society. Recognized as a Master Teacher in Urology by his alma mater in 2006, Dr. Kirsch completed residencies at the prestigious Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, and a fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as an American Foundation for Urological Diseases Scholar.
Dr. Kirsch has held leadership roles in key urological societies, including the Society for Fetal Urology and the American Association of Pediatric Urologists, and has contributed to the American Academy of Pediatrics in various capacities. His scholarly contributions exceed 300 journal articles and book chapters, notably on vesicoureteral reflux, a testament to his focus on advancing knowledge in his field.
An innovator, Dr. Kirsch co-developed the Soluu® medical device, which is under FDA review for treating nocturnal enuresis in children. His endoscopic technique for correcting urinary reflux is now a global standard of care, and his instructional reach is truly international, with over a thousand trained physicians. Dr. Kirsch's expertise extends to advanced diagnostic imaging through pioneering work in magnetic resonance urography for pediatric obstructive uropathy.
