Short Biography

Bachelor of Biomedical Science from Centro Universitário Franciscano (2016) and Master’s degree from the Postgraduate Program in Biological Sciences: Toxicological Biochemistry at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). Experienced in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Coding in R and Behavior, with an emphasis on Neurosciences. Conducted research on the neurobehavioral effects of taurine in models of ethanol exposure and seizure crisis in zebrafish (Danio rerio) at the Experimental Neuropsychobiology Laboratory - UFSM. During the PhD, conducted research related to the function of the latrophilin 3.1 gene in ADHD in zebrafish at the University of Portsmouth - England, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Matthew O. Parker. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Biological Sciences in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Justin Kenney - Wayne State University (Michigan, USA), researching the role of genetics and sex in behavioral differences among individuals using zebrafish as a model organism. Currently, conducting postdoctoral research in the lab of Prof. Dr. Denis Broock Rosemberg.
