Cynthia M Valerio

Dr. Cynthia Valério is a Brazilian endocrinologist at the forefront of obesity and metabolic medicine in Latin America. As President-Elect of ABESO, Director of FLASO, and Vice Coordinator of the Obesity Department at SBEM, she plays a central role in shaping clinical guidelines and advancing the field across the region. She leads clinical trials at the State Institute of Diabetes and Endocrinology (IEDE-RJ) and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Clinical Medicine at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), with research spanning obesity, diabetes, dyslipidemia, and lipodystrophies
