Edgar Mixcoha

Computational biophysicist working at the interface of molecular simulation, structural bioinformatics, and systems-level modeling of disease. My research combines all-atom and coarse-grained molecular dynamics, hybrid QM/MM approaches, molecular docking, agent-based modeling, and analysis of complex biological datasets, and is applied to the rational design of drugs and vaccines against high-impact diseases, including cancer, tuberculosis, and other infectious conditions. Over the past two decades, I have integrated basic research with university teaching, graduate and undergraduate supervision, and science outreach, including translational projects with clear social impact, such as the computational design of pediatric cancer vaccines
