POSITION Since September 2014, I am professor in hematology at the Faculty of Medicine of Tours, France, and the head of department of the hematology and cell therapy unit. In this perspective, together with the research administration of the university hospital, we have organized the phase I activity in à dedicated unit, and a study nurse on-duty list for week-end and night PK sampling. REGIONAL ORGANIZATION OF HEMATOLOGY Since my arrival un the Centre region in 2006, I have continued the work of my mentor Philippe Colombat, who created a regional network of physicians involved in hematology patient care. We organize two annual meetings and videoconferencing for difficult hematology cases. SUPPORTIVE CARE I have contributed to the creation of talking groups for children of patients fighting cancer. ONGOING PROJECT We are in the process of building an extension to the hematology department in order to be able to treat all the leukemias and allogeneic transplantations for patients of the region.
