Short Biography
Ezequiel Ridruejo currently works as the Head of the Hepatology Section at the Department of Medicine at the Center for Medical Education and Clinical Research, Norberto Quirno CEMIC in Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires. He received his medical degree from Salvador University. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Center for Medical Education and Clinical Research, Norberto Quirno CEMIC, and the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He subsequently completed his training in Hepatology at Baylor College of Medicine and in the Eugene B. Casey Hepatitis and AIDS Diagnostic Laboratory in Houston, Texas. Is the Coordinator of the group of Interest in Viral Hepatitis and member of the Editorial Committee of ALEH. He was president of the Argentine Society of Hepatology (SAHe). He is a Researcher at the Academic Unit of the Research Institute at the Center for Medical Education and Clinical Research, Norberto Quirno CEMIC. He is a member of the Career of the Scientific Researcher of CONICET (National Council for Scientific and Technical Research) and is a member of the Doctorate Career at the Laboratory of Biological Effects of Environmental Contaminants, Department of Human Biochemistry, School of Medicine, Universidad de Buenos Aires in the Basic Sciences area. His areas of interest are MASLD (Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease); DILI (Drug-Induced Liver Injury); viral hepatitis; hepatocarcinoma, and the development of hepatocarcinogenesis and its prevention.
