Francesc Formiga

Francesc Formiga graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1983, at the Central University of Barcelona, and received his doctoral degree (cum laude) in 1995. He specialized in Internal Medicine and worked in the care of elderly people at the University Hospital of Bellvitge. He obtained the Master in Geriatrics and Gerontology (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, 2000) and the certificate of competence in Geriatrics and Gerontology Clinical Methodology and Objective Structured Clinical Assessment (Barcelona IES, 2003). Co-director Master of heart failure SEC-SEMI.Former editor of the Journal of Geriatrics and Gerontology of the Spanish Society (Spanish Journal of Geriatrics and Gerontology for 14 years. He is currently a member of the working groups of dementia and falls of the Spanish Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology, and past coordinator of the groupheart failure of the Spanish Society of Internal Medicine. First researcher national and international grants. Director of more than 14 doctoral thesis and several postgraduate works.
