Dr. Li is Principal Investigator in the Department of Molecular Neuropathology, Beijing Neurosurgical Institute; Associate Chief Neurosurgeon, Department of Neurosurgery, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University; Head of the Innovative Immunotherapy R&D Platform, Beijing Engineering Research Center for Targeted Therapy and Cell Therapy of Nervous System Tumors.

Dr. Li have long been engaged in elucidating the mechanisms of therapeutic resistance in glioma stem cells and developing innovative therapies. He have secured 3 national-level grants​ (including the National Natural Science Foundation of China) and 2 provincial/ministerial-level grants​ (including the Beijing Outstanding Young Scientist Fund). As first/corresponding author (including co-first/corresponding), he have published 31 SCI-indexed papers​ in high-impact journals such as Cell Metabolism and Brain, including 2 ESI Highly Cited Papers. His total publication record comprises 91 SCI-indexed papers​ with 4,082 citations​ and an h-index of 30.

As a sub-principal investigator, Dr. Li have initiated 4 clinical trials, with 2 completed. He have contributed to 4 monographs​ and participated in formulating 3 international​ and 3 national clinical guidelines​ for glioma. He hold 12 Chinese invention patents, 1 utility model patent, 1 software copyright, 4 PCT patents, and have publicly disclosed 4 US patents​ and 4 European patents, with 4 invention patents successfully translated/commercialized​ via the China Technology Exchange.

His academic achievements have been recognized with the Best Invention Award​ (IFIA), the Grand Prix & Gold Medal​ (iENA Nuremberg), the Silver Award​ (National Postdoctoral Innovation Contest), and the Frontier Academic Achievement in the Capital. He have been honored as a National Outstanding Postdoctoral Innovator, selected for the Beijing Association for Science and Technology (BAST) Young Talent Program.
