Gülçin Benbir Senel

Gulcin Benbir Senel is a full professor since January-2022 in the Department of Neurology, Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty, Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Turkiye. She has been principal Investigator and investigator in many national and international research projetcs. She is the fellow of the European Academy of Neurology, and Sleep Expert by the Sleep Research Society since 2014. She is a scientific member of the International RLS Study Group and European Narcolepsy Network; and a member of World Sleep Research Society, International REM Sleep Behavior Disorder Study Group. She is also founder president of Turkish Narcolepsy Network, past president of Sleep Medicine Study Group of Turkish Neurology Society, and executive member of Turkish Sleep Medicine Society. She was among the Organization Committee of three international congresses, and 21 National Congresses and Meetings. She is the co-author in eight book chapters in international books. She has more than 135 papers published in SCI/E indexed journals. She is also co-author in 22 papers published in SCI/E journals printed in Turkiye, and 14 international journals indexed in other indices. She chaired in 7 sessions in international congresses, was the speaker in 22 sessions. She has 116 oral/poster presentations in international congresses. She is the Editor / Associate Editor in four ESCI and three SCIE journals. She reviewed more than 110 papers in the SCI/E journals and in other journals indexed in other international indices. She is the co-author of three Turkish books, and she is the author/co-author of 16 book chapters in Turkish books. She is the Editor of 11 Turkish books in Sleep Medicine. She has more than 80 papers in journals indexed in Tubitak, and 14 papers in other Turkish journals with other local indices. She chaired more than 40 sessions, and was the speaker in more than 160 sessions in National Congresses. She is the co-author of more than 190 oral / poster presentations in National Congresses. She is the Chief Associate Editor of the Sleep and Disorders Section of the Turkish Neurology Journal and the Past Editor of Turkish Sleep Medicine Journal. She was the reviewer in more than 70 papers in Turkish journals.
