Associate Professor, Pathology Department, University of Valencia. Summarized: I have been working as a histopathologist at Instituto Valenciano de Oncología, Valencia since 2011. I am part of a large, multidisciplinary team at Pathology Department of IVO that focuses on the management of gastrointestinal tumors and soft tissue tumors. My research interest mainly at pathology Department of Valencia University involves the study of phenotypic and genomic alterations in bone and soft tissue sarcomas, including the translocation associated and genetically complex sarcomas such as Ewing sarcomas, Ewing-like sarcomas and other adult and pediatric mesenchymal tumors. Other research interests include investigating rectal cancer and colon cancer, differential diagnosis and sub-classification of sarcomas, evaluation of histopathological response after chemotherapy in rectal tumors, tumor genetics and biomarkers as well as translational oncology. Our working group has published a number of publications and I am a reviewer for various international journals in the field of surgical pathology.
