Short Biography

Leading healthcare innovation, I am an elected member of SigmaXi - An International Scientific Research Honour Society. More than 200 Nobel Prize winners have been members.https://sigmaxi.org/about. I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist-Hepatologist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, with a parallel academic role as a Professor Associate in Experimental Hepatology at King's College London. My expertise in liver diseases, coupled with a steadfast commitment to medical education and research, has positioned me at the forefront of Hepatology and Metabolic Health Disease. My work is driven by a passion to understand and combat liver conditions, which has led to significant contributions in medical research, particularly in the realms of diabetic and obesity-related liver diseases. Collaboratively, my teams have advanced the knowledge of the autonomic nervous system's role in liver repair; trans-generational transmission of obesity and obesity-related liver disease; to influence public health policies and heighten societal awareness about the impact of obesity on health. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/jude-a-oben-md-phd-frcp-agaf-faasld-89a399229_widening-waistbands-are-a-burden-on-britain-activity-7252265316943036417--P4a/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop
