Short Biography
Jean-Pierre Riveline is Professor of Endocrinology and Diabetology at Lariboisière Hospital and University Paris-Cité in Paris, France. He is the leader of the University Center for Diabetes and its Complications (CUDC).
Jean-Pierre Riveline has been interested for several years in new technologies for patients living with diabetes, especially continuous glucose monitoring and Automated Insulin Delivery (AID). He has conducted several studies evaluating the effectiveness of CGM.
He works in the development of a test bench for the evaluation of pump, CGMs, and AID.
He is also developing an islet transplantation program for people living with a type 1 diabetes in Paris.
He is the coordinator for two national cohorts: SFDT1, a long-term prospective follow-up of patients living with type 1 diabetes to better understand cardiovascular risk in this population and OB2F, a real-life cohort evaluating the efficacy and safety of closed-loop Automated Insulin Delivery.
