Short Biography
Jonas F. Ludvigsson’s research emanates from a long-standing expertise in Swedish healthcare registers and epidemiology, where he focuses on celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), liver disease, and gastrointestinal cancer. A lot of his research also concerns children. Ludvigsson continues to work clinically three days a week, most often in the pediatric wards.
He has more than 700 scientific publications, including several books.
Ludvigsson is currently the Scientific Secretary of the Swedish Society of Medicine.
In 2024, he received HM. The King of Sweden’s Medal of the 8th size in the Order of the Seraphim ribbon for outstanding research contributions in inflammatory bowel diseases and pediatrics. He is currently the Scientific Secretary of the Swedish Society of Medicine.
