Dr. Madhu Babu Sura earned his Ph.D. in 2019 from AcSIR, CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, India. Under the guidance of Dr. P. Mangala Gowri, his research focused on "Phytochemical investigation and bioevaluation of secondary metabolites from Ipomoea, Ceriops, Artemisia genera, and biotransformation of artemisinin." After completing his Ph.D., he joined Professor Yong-Xian Cheng's research group at Shenzhen University, China, in November 2019 as a postdoctoral research fellow. Currently, he continues his research with the same group at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. His current work centers on investigating bioactive molecules in medicinal plant resins and microorganisms. Dr. Sura's research interests primarily involve isolating and characterizing secondary metabolites from natural products, specializing in mangroves, medicinal plants, resins, medicinal insects, and microorganisms. He also possesses expertise in the biotransformation of secondary metabolites.
