Short Biography

Dr.Malik A. Althobiani is currently working on a research project to assess the feasibility and utility of a contemporary comprehensive mutidimiontonal approach to remotely assessing patients with chronic lung disease. Academic Excellence Malik earned a diploma in pharmacy with first-class honours. Before relocating to Ohio, USA, he temporarily worked as a pharmacy clinician and in a pharmaceutical company. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care from the University of Toledo, graduating with honours with a 3.95 GPA out of a 4.0. Malik then went on to earn a Master of Science in Respiratory Therapy from Georgia State University, where he graduated in December 2020 with a 4.0 GPA. Professional Experience and Clinical Training Malik has received numerous honours throughout his academic career, including being named to the President's List and receiving the Summa Cum Laude award. He is a member of the Lambda Beta Society, the Golden Key International Honour Society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Phi Kappa Phi, and the Gamma Beta Phi Society, among others. Clinical Qualifications and Experience Malik has a diverse set of clinical credentials, including: Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) Neonatal Pediatrics Specialist (NPS) Registered Pulmonary Function Specialist (RPFT) Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist (CTTS) His areas of expertise include disease management for pediatrics, neonates, and adults, as well as the initiation and management of mechanical ventilators and complex procedures like intubations. Work Background and Profession Over the course of more than a thousands hours of clinical experience at hospitals in Ohio and Michigan, including ProMedica Toledo Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital, St. Charles Mercy Hospital, Mercy St. Anne Hospital, and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, Malik's clinical abilities were increasingly apparent. At Jazan University, he taught courses such as mechanical ventilation, critical care, and neonatal assessment.
