Mehmet Artac

Dr. Mehmet Artac is a Professor of Medical Oncology and director of Medical Oncology Department at Necmettin Erbakan University Meram School of Medicine in Konya, Turkey. He is certified by both the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) and Turkish Medical Oncology Society in Medical Oncology. Dr.Artac’s primary research focus is the oversight of clinical trials of novel therapeutic agents and translational research on patients with breast, lung and colon cancer. He is actively involved in clinical trials. Dr.Artac has received numerous awards, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) International Education and Development Award (IDEA) (2006), and Turkish Medical Oncology Society Research Award (2006). He belongs to numerous professional organizations including the ASCO and ESMO. He has authored over 70 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr.Artac received his MD (1996) at the Ege University School of Medicine in Izmir. He trained in oncology at the Akdeniz University School of Medicine in Antalya.
