Dr. Milan M. Terzic is a distinguished physician-scientist and academic leader with extensive experience in clinical medicine, research, and medical education. Born and raised in Serbia, he earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 1986 and his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 1992 from the University of Belgrade School of Medicine. Following his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same institution, Dr. Terzic pursued advanced fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI), laying the foundation for a career dedicated to the intersection of clinical innovation, scientific discovery, and patient-centered care.
Currently, Dr. Terzic holds the positions of Chair of the Department of Surgery at Nazarbayev University School of Medicine and Vice-Director of the Clinical Academic Department of Women’s Health at the University Medical Center in Astana, Kazakhstan. Throughout his career, he has occupied prominent academic and leadership roles, including Full Professor at the University of Belgrade and Adjunct Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. These roles have allowed him to influence medical education and clinical practice across multiple countries and health systems.
Dr. Terzic’s research portfolio is broad and interdisciplinary, encompassing reproductive health, high-risk obstetrics, advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques, regenerative medicine, and translational science that bridges laboratory discoveries with clinical applications.
