Biography:

Piergiacomo Calzavara-Pinton, MD, is Full Professor and Chair of the Department of Dermatology and School of Specialization of Dermatology at the University and ASST-Spedali Civili of Brescia, Italy. His clinical and research interests focus on photo-dermatology, non invasive diagnostic techniques, inflammatory diseases and skin oncology. He is the head of a team working on the development of new drugs for the treatment of skin tumors and inflammatory disorders, new photoprotective and photosensitizing molecules and innovative non-invasive diagnostic techniques. He has a teaching role in the PhD program of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine of the University of Brescia that is trying to shape new perspectives in teaching and care in Medicine.
