Short Biography

I’m Dr. Sam Sarmiento, a physician and public health professional driven by curiosity and an insatiable hunger for knowledge. I’m also a polyglot, which may not be health-related, but it’s part of who I am and how I connect with the world.

I’m passionate about making health information accessible and understandable for everyone. I believe health is a birthright, and that it’s more than the absence of disease. To me, health means physical, mental and spiritual well-being. It’s thriving, not just getting by. It’s focusing on fundamentals rather than chasing the latest gadget, drug, or social media trend. It’s feeling connected to ourselves, to others and to the world around us.

My mission is simple: to share evidence-based health content that sparks curiosity, empowers informed choices and occasionally challenges assumptions. If something I share helps you make even one positive change toward a healthier life, then I’ve done my job.

Ultimately, my goal is to help as many people as possible begin (or continue) a journey toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
