Sanjeev Krishna

Sanjeev Krishna is Professor of Molecular Parasitology and Medicine at St. George’s, University of London’s Institute for Infection and Immunity. His research interests encompass cellular, molecular and clinical studies on neglected diseases. He works on understanding how antimalarials kill parasites, how parasites become resistant to different classes of antimalarial, and on discovery studies for new antimalarials and new drug targets. He also studies pathophysiology and treatment of malaria. He has worked on vaccines for Ebola virus disease and on optimising management of COVID19 through improving diagnostics. He has also repurposed artesunate for the management of several cancers. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences.
