Tateaki Naito

Dr. Tateaki Naito, MD, PhD, is the Director of the Cancer Supportive Care Center and Chief Physician of Thoracic Oncology at Shizuoka Cancer Center. He graduated from Hamamatsu University School of Medicine in 1997 and has over twenty years of experience in thoracic oncology, cancer cachexia, and cancer supportive care. In addition, he is a Clinical Professor at St. Luke's International University, Graduate School of Nursing Science. Dr. Naito has been a board member of the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) and the Japanese Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (JASCC) since 2024. He plays leadership roles in the Nutrition & Cachexia Study Group of both JASCC and MASCC. His research involves numerous clinical trials of pharmacotherapies and non-pharmacological multimodal interventions for thoracic cancer and cancer cachexia. Furthermore, he holds key editorial positions as the Editor-in-Chief of Thoracic Cancer, Associate Editor of the Asia-Pacific Journal of Oncology Nursing (APJON), and the Journal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia, and Muscle (JCSM).
