- Prof Cillo has performed as first surgeon/tutor over 4000 interventions of general and hepatobiliary surgery, over 900 liver transplants, more than 120 cases of paediatric liver transplantation including split child-adult and adult-adult, living donors and robotic living donations.
- He performed the first auxiliary liver transplantation (2007), the first liver auto-transplantation (2011), the first “RAPID” technique (2018) and the first “dual Liver Transplantation” (2023) in Italy. He published the first series of the West of full Robotic resection and reconstruction for pCCA (2021).
- Since 2004 more than 2600 liver resections, 2000 liver transplants and 3900 liver ablations have been performed at his Unit.
