Short Biography
Dr. MAHAMAN Y. A. Razak is a Bachelor’s and Master’s graduate of Human Anatomy from the Department of Human Anatomy, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, from 2000 to 2011. He pursued his doctoral degree at the Department of Pathology and Pathophysiology, School of Basic Medicine, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, in Wuhan, China, from 2014 to 2018. He was a postdoctoral fellow conducting research on neurodegenerative diseases at the Department of Pathology and Pathophysiology, Tongji Medical College, HUST, in collaboration with the Cognitive Impairment Ward of the Neurology Department at The Third Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University, from 2018 to 2023. He is now a full Professor conducting research and teaching Anatomy and Pathology at the Department of Basic Medicine, Medical College, Hubei Polytechnic University, Huangshi, Hubei Province, China. He previously worked with the MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières) NGO from 2006 to 2008, and with two medical institutions (IPSP and ISS) as an Anatomy and Physiology and Basic Pharmacology lecturer from 2012 to 2014, as well as an internship in the surgery ward at Magaria District Hospital in 2013.
Dr. MAHAMAN Y. A. Razak is aspiring to develop an academic career by working with reputed universities or research institutions that offer advanced research and training opportunities, where he will be in contact with reputed medical scientists, and be able to contribute effectively towards institutional goals and values both locally and internationally, and constantly improve his teaching, learning, and intellectual abilities. He has a big interest in Neuroscience, Neurodegenerative diseases, Anatomy, Molecular and Cellular Pathology, and Histopathology.
