Ali Jafarizadeh

Ali Jafarizadeh, MD, MPH, is a physician-scientist with a strong interest in ophthalmology, medical research, artificial intelligence, and biostatistics. His research focuses on integrating AI and advanced retinal imaging with clinical and epidemiological data to improve the detection, prediction, and management of ocular and systemic diseases. He is particularly passionate about retinal imaging biomarkers, ophthalmic imaging, machine learning, deep learning, and evidence-based clinical research. His research experience spans clinical studies, epidemiology, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and AI-driven medical imaging projects, with collaborations across international research groups. He has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications in ophthalmology and AI in healthcare. He was also recognised as a Distinguished Medical Student at the 62nd Annual Alborz Award for scientific excellence.
