Short Biography

Since 2017, CORDEIRO (FCT CEEC awardee and Marie Skłodowska-Curie alumnus) has been responsible for the Dynamic Structural Biology (DSB) Lab of the ITQB NOVA (www.itqb.unl.pt/research/biological-chemistry/dynamic-structural-biology) as part of the MOSTMICRO-ITQB research unit. His lab works to provide a dynamic view of the structure and function of proteins that are involved in vital biological processes. To this end, he uses NMR spectroscopy and SAXS complemented by other biochemical and biophysical techniques to characterize biological systems' structural, dynamic, and thermodynamic properties and interactions. The DSB lab has grown to host six researchers: two PhD students, one Postdoc, one master's student, and two post-master research fellows. Scientific outputs: Author of 36 peer-review publications (24 as an independent lab) and two book chapters. Google Scholar metrics: Citations: 1487; h-index: 22
